TO THE RATEPAYERS OF THE

MUNICIPALITY OF THORNE

Public Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Director General of the Municipality of Thorne that a total ban on any kind of fires until further notice.

Given at Ladysmith, Québec, this 11 day of August, 2025

Stacy Lafleur, Assistant Director General

The Municipality would like to take a moment to recognize the hard work of our municipal employees who dedicate significant time and effort to grading and maintaining our road network. Their commitment ensures that our roads remain safe, accessible, and in good condition for all residents and visitors.

Maintaining our roads is also a substantial financial investment for the Municipality. In light of this, we kindly ask that all road users, particularly those using four-wheelers and similar vehicles, treat our roads with care and respect.

We have received several reports of individuals doing “donuts” and other damaging maneuvers on municipal roads. These actions cause unnecessary wear and tear and undo the hard work and resources invested in maintaining the roads.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping preserve the quality of our roads for the benefit of the entire community.

Thank you for your understanding.
