PUBLIC NOTICE - Cat and Dog Licenses: What's New for 2025

All MRC municipalities now require a license for cats and dogs. This measure aims to ensure the safety and well-being of animals in our community.

Important Change for 2025:As of this year, pet identification tags will be permanent. Your pet will keep the same tag year after year. However, annual license renewal remains mandatory. You can complete this process online or at your local municipal office. The renewal procedure is available on the SPCA de l' Outaouais website: www.spcaoutaouais.ca/licences.

2025 License Fees and Availability:

  • Annual license: $20 per animal (cats and dogs)

  • Replacement tag: $5 (available online, shipped by mail)

Renewal Notice:A renewal notice should have been sent in January. If you did not receive it, please contact the SPCA de l'Outaouais by email at licences@spcaoutaouais.ca or by phone at 819-243-2004, option 3.

Why Renew Your Pet’s License?Funds generated from licenses directly support vulnerable animals in the region. Your contribution helps the SPCA de l'Outaouais provide veterinary care, food, and attention needed to improve these animals' lives and help them find loving homes.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to the well-being of animals in our community.
